Kids Under Cover
Kids Under Cover believes every young person has the right to a safe and secure home and a sound education. With a focus
on prevention they raise funds to construct purpose built, quality homes and unique housing solutions for homeless and
at-risk young people. In 2007, Kids Under Cover is embarking upon stage one of its national expansion and with the support
of the Tattersall’s George Adams Foundation’s contributes towards the establishment of a branch office in Queensland.

Abbotsford Convent
The Abbotsford Convent is a magnificent heritage site which is fast becoming Australia’s most unique arts, cultural and
educational destinations. The Foundation’s support enabled immediate rectification and compliance of pathways, fencing and
a new disabled entry to the rear of the convent.

Royal Talbot- ‘Creative Therapies Program’
The Tattersall's George Adams Foundation supports Royal Talbot's 'Creative Therapies Program', which will help the
rehabilitation centre to extend the area of three uniquely designed garden rooms as well as support music and art therapy
aiding the recovery of patients with acquired brain injuries.

Action For Community Living- ‘Becoming the Boss’ project
'Becoming The Boss' is an accredited course designed to provide a training and self-empowerment program for people with
disabilities who require support services. Many course participants cannot read or access normal typed material. The
Tattersall’s George Adams Foundation’s support has helped with funding towards the production of curriculum material to
suit those with varied disabilities.

Beaufort and Skipton Health Service
The Skipton buildings offering acute care, nursing home care, hostel accommodation and a community health centre are being
rebuilt and due for completion in November 2007. The Foundation’s support has contributed to the new Emergency Treatment
Centre. This development will service residents in the local communities without having to travel distances to larger rural
areas.

Wendouree Centre For Performing Arts
The Tattersall’s George Adams Foundation supported the development of the Wendouree Centre for Performing Arts which includes an 850-seat auditorium, recording studio, orchestra rehearsal room and music laboratory. This premier centre is a cultural landmark for Ballarat and provides unique opportunities for both performers and audiences within Ballarat and the wider community.
Ballarat Botanical Gardens Community Fund- ‘Lake Blitz Project’
Lake Blitz' is a coordinated project involving Government, Community and Corporate partnerships to revitalise and extend the visitor facilities around Lake Wendouree’s foreshore reserve. The Foundation’s support towards the ‘Olympic Precinct’, ‘Windmill Drive Precinct’ and indigenous ‘Wathaurong’ interpretative signs, will make it one of Victoria’s iconic attractions.

Bass Coast Regional Health
Funding made available by the Foundation has contributed towards the purchase of a 24 seat community bus, which is run by
volunteers for the transport of physically impaired and wheelchair clients who have limited or no other means of transport for
medical assistance.

Casey North Community Information and Support Service
An increasingly busy crisis centre providing a range of programs and services to the local community and in particular to
disadvantaged groups. The Funding enabled the Centre to replace second hand furniture in the reception area and counselling and
interview rooms so clients would feel welcome and comfortable whilst maintaining a sense of dignity.

Life Goes On
Life Goes On provides the skills and inspiration needed to help patients and families, as well as to their Doctors and allied health professional caregivers to live with serious illness. The Tattersall’s George Adams Foundation has supported their 'Outreach Program' a pilot study between support partners to reach more effected people and build a better model of care.

Bonnie Babes Foundation
Bonnie Babes are a volunteered based charity for the health and wellbeing of families struggling with the death of their
stillborn baby or miscarriage. The Foundation’s support has enabled for the reprinting of their 'grief book' an important
resource as is their 24 hour 7 day a week counselling service and family support network.

Blackwood Special Schools Outdoor Education Program
Blackwood Special Outdoor Education Centre is an outdoor camp facility for students with physical and intellectual disabilities.
The Foundation has allowed for improvements to their ' Imagination Trail' to allow those with physical disabilities better
access to complete the trail.

Melbourne Prize
The annual Melbourne Prize has been created to recognise and reward excellence and talent, to inspire creative development and
to enrich public life. It focuses on three sectors with the following three-year cycle; the Melbourne Prize for Urban Sculpture,
the Melbourne Prize for Literature and the Melbourne Prize for Music. A free public exhibition of finalists for each annual
Melbourne Prize is held at Fed Square, along with the awarding event at BMW Edge. The Foundation is a proud supporter of the
prize of the city for the city, which is one of the most valuable creative development prizes in Australia.

Echuca Community for the Aged
The Tattersall’s George Adams Foundation has funded five hi-low beds for its Engelbert Lodge which is a 61 bed aged care
facility which houses 11 residents suffering from Dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

Donwood Community Aged Care Facility
Funding provided by the Foundation has enabled the Centre to purchase a weigh chair which will provide a fast and accurate read
out of residents weight whilst providing a degree of comfort.

CFS/ME Victoria
CFS/ME Victoria is an organisation that provides information, support and advocacy for those suffering from ME/CFS (Myalgic
Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome). The Tattersall’s George Adams Foundation has provided seed funding towards their
‘Care and Crisis Support Service’. This project will provide essential support services when members of the community are at
their lowest ebb.

Colac Area Health
The newly developed 75 bed Aged Care facility, one of the largest and most up to date facilities in South West Victoria will
feature an innovative aged care garden. The Foundation is a major contributor to this project which will offer therapeutic and
patient exercising of mind and body to benefit those in care.
Chamber Music Australia
Chamber Music Australia is committed to improving chamber music performance in Australia and promoting gifted young musicians as
well as providing an international platform for aspiring young artists. As part of the 5th Melbourne International Music
Competition, the Foundation supported 'Chamber Music in the City' a series of 20 free concerts at various Melbourne City venues.

Odyssey House
Odyssey House is a leading service provider in the drug and alcohol arena. The Foundation’s support towards the ‘Missing Link’
campaign provides the operational expenses of ‘five beds’ over a 12 month term.

Chaffey Aged Care
Merbein Aged Care Centre has recently opened its 60 bed low care hostel for the aged in the Sunraysia district of Victoria. The
Foundation’s contribution enabled the purchase towards high/low electric beds.
Mayflower Retirement Community
Mayflower is an aged care facility currently being upgraded to provide excellent care and a better quality of life for
residents. The Foundation’s support has allowed for the purchase of flexible ceiling hoists and tracking for the benefit of
those who are suffering movement impairment.

Forever Foundation
Forever Foundation fosters health and wellbeing through the development and nurturing of sport and recreation through football
in the Western suburbs. They are redeveloping aging and redundant infrastructure for the use of key community based charitable
and service organisations at the Whitten Oval. The Foundation is supporting the development of centralised public toilets,
centrally co-located shared reception and telephone system and centralised room management and booking system.

Mambourin Enterprises Inc
Mambourin provides day services and supported employment for people with disabilities. The funding provided by the Foundation
will go towards a heavy shredder and baler for their Secure Document Destruction Service. This will increase productivity and
therefore numbers of employed people with disabilities. It also makes the workplace even safer for all involved.

Manningham Centre
Manningham Centre provides a purpose built 5 bedroom respite cottage for the provision of an overnight respite service for older
people with dementia living at home. The Tattersall’s George Adams Foundation supported this project which gives carers a much-
needed break.

Chances For Children
The Foundation supported the Chances For Children program which gives financial assistance to young people in the Mallee region
of Victoria to realise their potential that may otherwise not happen as a consequence of their disadvantaged social or economic
circumstances.
HESSE Rural Health Service
The Foundation’s support towards a state-of-the-art, 10 bed, aged care dementia unit will provide residents a local facility
rather than having to move away from their home and their family and friends.

The Royal Women’s Hospital
The Neonatal Intensive Unit at the Royal Women’s Hospital specialises in the care of critically ill new borns. The financial support of the Foundation has made possible the purchase of a ‘Giraffe’ omnibed. This state of the art equipment will aid in caring for the most vulnerable babies.

Rochester and Elmore District Health Service
REDHS provides services in the areas of comprehensive acute hospital, residential and aged and community based care. It is
situated in the Shire of Campaspe- Victoria and covers an area of 1,425kms. Funding from the Foundation has been put towards a
Patient Transporter to transport disabled aged and infirm patients to and from medical assistance and rehabilitation. It will
also provide health care to outer rural districts.

Parkville House
Ronald McDonald House provides a 'Home Away From Home' which makes a significant contribution to the care of seriously ill
children and their families. Funding from the Foundation provided a security surveillance system to facilities giving peace
and comfort to many country and regional guests.

Open Family
Open Family Australia provides outreach support and services to young people at risk in our communities. Specialised youth
outreach workers provide ongoing support to young people, linking them back into education, employment, housing, counselling,
health and wellbeing, legal assistance and drug and alcohol programs. The Foundation’s support towards a mobile youth outreach
bus helps to give Open Family direct contact and counselling to young people frequenting the streets, whilst providing material
aid such as food, clothing, health and wellbeing products, and access to mobile internet, job search, and general information.

University of Melbourne - Arthritis and Inflammation Research Centre
The research centre is solely focused on finding a cure for arthritis and other inflammatory conditions. Its current focus is on
a particular cell system which has now been recognised as being key to the destructive events occurring in arthritic disease.
Funding provided by the Foundation will go towards allowing exciting breakthroughs to be explored and developed by helping to
fund a proteomics laboratory dedicated to identifying novel proteins contributing to the severity of arthritic disease.

Woorinyan Inc.
Woorinya's purpose is to facilitate individualised high quality, innovative and effective services to meet the employment,
development, training and support needs of people who have a disability. The Tattersall’s George Adams Foundation donation will
go towards specific equipment for clients with high support needs as part of the Centre’s major redevelopment.

Western Health
Currently upgrading their Outpatient's facility at Western Hospital, Tattersall's George Adams Foundation's donation has made a
significant difference for our three clinical areas in the Outpatients Department including 1st and 2nd floors by providing all
new seating and a more comfortable and aesthetically pleasing environment while patients await specialised clinic appointments.
The funds donated were also used to provide specialised seating for their bariatric and oncology patients who previously did not
have appropriate comfortable seating in the past.

Tweddle Child and Family Health Service
Tweddle assists parents with young children aged 0-4 years to confidently manage parent-child related difficulties. It provides
services to vulnerable or isolated families and to parents of infants at risk who are experiencing more complex difficulties
than are manageable under the primary health system. The Foundation’s support towards capital works will improve the facilities
and ultimately the services provided to these families.

Redkite
Redkite supports children and their families through cancer by providing emotional guidance, financial relief and educational
services. The Foundation’s support is toward the continuation of their Equipment/Services area enabling families of children
with cancer, basic essentials and support while their children are ill such as wigs, home alterations, payment of rates, travel
assistance etc.

The Fred Hollows Foundation
The Fred Hollows Foundation works in partnership with Indigenous communities to improve health outcomes of Indigenous
Australians. With the support of Tattersalls Foundation, this has allowed The Fred Hollows Foundation and the Banatjarl Family
Resource Centre present their 2007 'Women's Talk' conference which focuses on crime prevention, drug and alcohol abuse,
nutrition and sporting workshops.

St Paul’s Cathedral – Melbourne
For more than 100 years, St Paul’s Cathedral has been a locus for civic and community events as well as a place of spiritual care and material aid to an increasing number of people. The Cathedral is currently being refurbished and the Foundation’s support will assist in the repair and conservation of the magnificent tessellated tiles in the Sanctuary.

St John of Kronstadt
For 51 years St John of Kronstadt has provided support services for Russian and Slavic origin who are amongst the most socially
and financially disadvantaged urban communities in Australia. The Tattersall’s George Adams Foundation has provided funding
towards disability features and fit-out of the new dining facilities at Kronstadt Gardens aged care facility.

Shrine of Remembrance
On 19 July 1916 the battle of Fromelles was the worst 24 hours in Australian history resulting in 5533 Australian casualties
including 2000 dead in one day. Such a significant moment in history and one that will be recognised with only the second
casting in the world of ‘Cobbers’ representing a digger carrying a wounded mate. This cast which is supported by the Foundation
will be positioned on the grounds of the Shrine and will become a significant symbol of Australian war history, recognising
Australia’s servicemen and women for all Australians and those visiting from overseas to view.
