Application

The Tattersall’s George Adams Foundation’s decisions are based on its Deed of Trust and policy criteria. Due consideration is given to each application and primarily assessed on the benefit and advantages to the community.

In assessing an application, we may require further information and/or wish to discuss the application with you, whether by telephone or by arranging a meeting/visit. In other circumstances, where for example we have discussed the project with you prior to the submission of your application, this may not be required.

Applicants that meet the basic requirements will be assessed by the Fund Committee and recommendations made to the Foundation Board for its consideration and final decision.

Notification on the Board’s final decision is then sent to all applicants.

Successful applicants will receive a ‘distribution document’ (and cheque) within approximately three months of notification of approval. Applicants who are not successful may re-apply after a period of twelve months.

Submissions should include the grant application summary, a 2-3-page overview of the organisation, background and purpose of the funding being sought, the aim of the project, who will benefit, project evaluation, size of grant, when is funding required, contact details and any other supporting documentation such as an annual report and at least two referees. Also include the names of other organisations, if any, from whom you are seeking funding including Governments, and the status of each request.

Please state in your application whether you have had previous support from Tattersall’s or the Tattersall’s George Adams Foundation by including a brief description of the funding including the total value and the year(s) in which the funding was provided.

Your application along with copies of the ATO's letter of endorsement as DGR and Income tax Exempt and if deemed suitable will be submitted to the Foundation Board for consideration.

It is the Foundation’s policy not to provide reasons for declining applications and the Foundation’s decision on such matters is final and is not subject to any form of appeal or review process.
