Continuing The Tradition - Our Mission
George Adams, Tattersall's founder, was a man of enormous entrepreneurial spirit, but at the same time he never lost sight of those less fortunate.
When he died in 1904 he left a Will stipulating that the Trustees of his Estate should maintain his philanthropic activities. In line with the wishes of George Adams, Tattersall's was a generous supporter of community initiatives for over 100 years.
In 2005 Tattersall’s became a publicly listed company and responsibility for continuing the philanthropic tradition of the Estate was passed to the Tattersall’s George Adams Foundation.
The Tattersall’s George Adams Foundation supports and works in partnership with charities and non-for-profit organisations that are committed to making a positive impact in the community. The Foundation is a great supporter of initiatives that make an ongoing difference to society.
